My first testimony was published in The Christian Science Journal in 1961. These are some of the healings I have had in years since.

We were invited by friends to their country home. In the evening, walking through the darkened hall, I came to an open door that I thought led to our room for the night. I walked in and reached for the light switch but found myself falling downstairs into the basement. I declared that God was with me and I couldn't fall out of His arms of love. As I lay there, I continued stating scientific truths. I was in no pain.

My wife and our hostess called from upstairs, "What happened to you?" I asked them to leave me there for fifteen or twenty minutes. By this I meant for them to leave me with God, but as they are not Christian Scientists I didn't put it that way. I stayed there for twenty minutes, silendy affirming my at-one-ment with God and denying the claim of accident. When I went upstairs, they showered me with questions, but I assured them I felt fine. And I really did. There was no discomfort, although I had a number of bruises. For the night they prepared salves and lotions to put on the bruises, telling me that I would have great pain. Their predictions didn't materialize. I refused the medication and slept like a child.
