What Would You Ask the Editor?
Paul Dervis, a high school student, got the chance to talk with Mr. Welz about Christian Science. They spent an hour or so together, and here are parts of their conversation:
Paul: Sometimes I pray for a healing and nothing happens. What did I do wrong?
Carl Welz: The very question "What did I do wrong?" tells us that we are looking at the wrong evidence—at material sense —and believing it. We have got to see the evidence that God, Spirit, gives. Then hold to it. But hold to the truth because it's true, not because of what will happen when we do. When evil disappears as a result of our understanding good, then the nothingness of evil becomes plain.
