Mary Baker Eddy writes in...
Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 264), "Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit." Through the study of Science and Health and our Leader's other writings, we learn how to use this "microscope of Spirit" in our daily experience.
For several years I have directed a women's chorus. At one time there were six members who caused a great deal of unhappiness in the group because of their critical and jealous attitudes. Instead of the rehearsals being joyous and free, they were burdensome and dull. This was not the right situation, because we were meeting to express harmony. I began to use "the microscope of Spirit."
Each time the erroneous picture came into my thought, I reversed it by knowing the oneness of Mind and the constant operation of omnipotence. I knew that man is always in his right place. One of the statements from Science and Health which was very helpful reads (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."
