It is now about four years since "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was first brought to my home by a friend who had heard my wife was sick. For about three weeks we read, learned, and inwardly digested some of the truths it contained; then my wife was healed of a trouble that had given her great inconvenience for over seven years. This opened our eyes to make us dig deeper. We have had quite a number of demonstrations in our home. My daughter has been healed of measles, mumps, colds. I was healed of a broken vib and did not lose any time from work, also of influenza, which had troubled me every year for about twelve years. I am thankful to all who have helped me, also for our periodicals, which are indeed food for the hungry and drink for the thirsty. Above all, I thank God for the spiritual uplift that I have gained through Christian Science.

As my husband has already said, I was sick when a friend lent me Science and Health. After looking into it for a few days we decided we must get one for ourselves. We did so and started to read the Lesson-Sermons. After reading Science and Health for three or four weeks I felt that God could heal me of a rupture which had troubled me for seven years and for which I had been wearing a truss all that time; and one morning I realized that God would do this for me if I would leave the truss off and just trust in divine Love. I am so thankful to say that I have never needed it again from that day, which is now four years ago.
