The baskets are full

I had been helping folks all morning as a Christian Science nurse in a Christian Science nursing facility.

The day began with prayerful inspiration and joy, but as the hours flew by, I seemed overwhelmed by a sense of burden and exhaustion. There were many demands on that hot summer day, including lots of walking, bending, and lifting.

At the afternoon break, I found a fairly cool, quiet resting place to sit, put my feet up, and regroup. As I turned my thought Godward, the message came clearly, “The baskets are full.” Not understanding how this idea could be helpful to my need, I sat quietly and let its meaning unfold in my thought.
