A big part of college is meeting people and establishing connections. These are people you can help and who will help you with your career–and in life. Imagine adding a network of Christian Scientists to the network you're already naturally developing.
Whether you’re looking for other Christian Scientists on your campus or are interested in starting Christian Science Organization, you’ll find there are many benefits to joining our network!
A Christian Science Organization, also known as a CSO or “org”, is a community of graduate and undergraduate students, faculty and instructors, that comes together to bring healing to issues their campuses face. It is a forum for discussing metaphysical approaches to navigating college life, with a focus on providing solutions. The Mother Church’s mission is to “heal and save the world from sin and death” and CSOs play a vital role in fulfilling this mission on campus. The activities of the CSO promote spiritual understanding and bring healing to challenges on campus: academics, time management, relationships, safety, sickness, etc.
While, it only takes one student or faculty member who is a member of The Mother Church to start a CSO, involvement is open to the entire campus community. And while each CSO is unique, they share a desire to make the universal truths of Christian Science more accessible.
This past spring semester a student at Redlands University, CA joined the network and expressed interest in forming a one-person CSO. He was thrilled to learn a few weeks later that a faculty member he didn’t know had also registered for the campaign. This newly minted team is well on its way to establishing a CSO on their campus!
Another example of the healing nature of this network happened at San Diego State University. The CSO had been inactive for the past decade with only one member, but we were able to connect this person with three other Christian Scientists on campus–two students and a staff member–who are ready to get involved and renew the CSO this coming school year.
Please take a minute to fill out the form, and If others you know are too busy to fill the form out, you may do it for them, BUT make sure to get their permission first!
Thanks for helping us build this network for you.
