Willmar, Minn. (First Church).—William D. Kilpatrick, lecturer; introduced by Ingebrigt C. Tollefson, who said in part:—

Few will deny that we are just emerging from an intensely material age. The genius of the human mind has spent itself in what the wise man called "many inventions." Man has harnessed a great number of the so-called forces of nature, through invention and new discoveries, and is making them serve him as never before. Wealth has multiplied, material comforts have increased; but have happiness, brotherly love, and the observance of the Golden Rule increased in the same ratio, or in anything like the same ratio?

There are, at the present day, unmistakable signs of a spiritual awakening,—a search for spiritual things. The most tangible and potent of these signs is Christian Science.
