One Saturday evening I fell down some steps, and owing to severe pain in the left ankle, it was very difficult for me to arise. A gentleman who came to my assistance expressed the gravest fears, which I did not allow myself to believe, but denied them as taught in Christian Science, trying to realize that "accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind" (Science and Health, p. 424). With great difficulty I walked to the next car stop, and the trip home proved to be very painful. Although I continued to declare the truth, the pain became worse. At twelve o'clock I endeavored to walk, but the foot seemed paralyzed, and at two o'clock I was carried to bed. I had expected to hear the Lesson-Sermon on the subject "God" read in our church the following morning. I thought over the sermon and enjoyed hours of silent communication with God. It was this realization which healed me. At seven o'clock, without having slept or removed my shoes, I arose and was able to walk. Although considerable effort was required, I attended the service and there experienced my complete healing.

I am inexpressibly thankful to God for this new proof of divine Love's power, which has been manifested to me many times during the last fourteen years through Christian Science. I thank our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, daily for her great gift.—(Mrs.) Clara Vontin, Hamburg, Germany.
