Homeward bound thoughts
Originally published in the July 1, 1890 issue of the Christian Science Series (Vol. 2, No. 5)
The reversal of mortal modes and methods translate human affections from sense to Soul—from the realm of the temporal and unreal to that of the eternal and real; revealing to us how Good, working by the law of Love, detaches our sense of Life from all that is unlike the Divine character.
To an evil sense, Good appears to be evil; hence, evil would inform us that "He is a friend of publicans and sinners,"—and, again, "He maketh himself as God."
