NOW IS FOREVER

No past to regret, no future to dread,No retreat, and no strain to dislodge the stablePressureless present; no looking aheadOr back in fear of a transient timetable.

REBIRTH

I shall go upward till the day's full sunRises to bless the land.

TODAY'S PARENTS

As Jacob's tender, patriarchal prideDevised a colored coat for Joseph's wear,And ardent Hannah, yearning for her son,Would make "a little coat," with love and prayer; So active parents are inspired to weaveA garment to protect and shield their own.

THE MAN BORN BLIND

No doubt the man born blindhad groped his waythrough many seasons of thought, wondering;searching for hope and light.

SUMMITS MOUNTED

Fly swifter back, O thought, than fleetest wingof whistling wind and mounted summits bringto memory that I—rememberingthe strength God gave to top some mountain highand sharp and rugged in the days gone by—may face my hill today with faith to try.

WITH LOVE

Give me understanding that I may discernWhen my brother is ready to return.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER

Love, Thy servant prays to knowHow to fill these waiting hearts; How to share this manna mealWhich the healing Truth imparts.

REFLECTION

SINCE man reflects Soul in beauty, calm,Serenity, and peace,We fear no tumult, stress, or strainBut find releaseFrom whirling moods of mortal sense,Tossing, unsure:In spiritual consciousnessWe dwell secure.

RELEASE

Beloved child, beneath His wing,Beyond my mortal mothering,May I have grace to see you soAnd only what God knows, to know.
