The Builders

I dwell near a murmur of leaves,And my labor is sweeter than rest; For over my head in the shade of the eavesA throstle is building his nest.

Lots of time for lots of things...

Lots of time for lots of things,Though it's said that time has wings.

Rose and gold and blue of the skies,Face and curls and innocent eyes,Sleep, my little one, dream and drowse All the birds sit still in the boughs,The dark blue spaces with stars are sown —Sleep, my blessing, my love, my own,Sleep!

"Whereas I was Blind, now I See"

I met him but once in half darkness,And how can I tell you, wise scribes,Of his beauty, his wisdom, his glory,Who would only answer with jibes?

Lost Ideals

Have we not all, amid life's petty strife,Some pure ideal of a noble lifeThat once seemed possible?

Song's Eternity

Into the song of the Poet are builded the things that endure : The Pillars of Karnak will crumble but the song of Shelley is sure.
