THE SOURCE OF HAPPINESS

There is little doubt that the pursuit of happiness engages the attention of mankind more than aught else, at least until many disappointments make the quest seem hopeless to the majority of those who follow it, yet it is both natural and right to seek happiness.

COOPERATIVE WORK

In last week's issue of the Sentinel we published a list of the members of the board of lectureship of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, together with their addresses, and attention is called above to certain instructions which have been sent out by the board for the information of the branch church officers who have in charge the arrangements for the lectures to be given by their respective churches.
Supplementary to the publication of the appointment to the board of lectureship for the official lecture year, from July 1, 1911, to June 30, 1912, in last week's issue of the Sentinel, it is fitting to call attention to Section 4, Article XXXII of the Manual of The Mother Church, which requires that each branch church shall annually provide for one or more lectures, and in this connection to note some of the details which make for satisfactory service.

"THE MASTER OF THE HOUSE"

It is simply astonishing to note the quickness with which the spiritual sense of the Scriptures comes to students of Christian Science.

TRUE POSSESSIONS

In counseling the rich young man to sell all that he had and give the proceeds to the poor, in order that he might "have treasure in heaven," Christ Jesus uncovered one of the most subtle temptations to which professed Christian are subject.

"COME UNTO ME"

Jesus' saying, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," has furnished the text for many a sermon, and its strong assurance that there is indeed a rest for the wearied ones whose daily burdens seem greater than they can bear, has brought comfort to thousands who had otherwise succumbed to discouragement and dismay in the face of what seemed to be both material and spiritual defeat.
