"HOW DO YOU FEEL?"

That the realm of physical feeling harbors all mankind the bulk of the time, and the bulk of mankind all the time, is no less true than that the teaching of the Master and the hope of eternal life demand that we shall learn to live not in the feeling which registers the rule of material sense, but in the knowing which speaks for the dominion of spiritual sense.

THE LECTURE SERVICE

In the report of the clerk, read at the annual meeting of The Mother Church, June 3, was this significant paragraph: "Our records show that during the year approximately 740,000 persons have attended lectures on Christian Science given by the various members of our board of lectureship.

Every type of human nature is sure to be subject to tests which will disclose its weakest point, and in the instance of those who have splendid capabilities—good judgment, good sense, fine ideals, and forcefulness, this weak point is not infrequently found to be a willingness to turn away in silent weariness, if not disgust, from a church or social problem, instead of standing by and courageously working it out.

PROGRESSIVENESS

The law of eternal progression was stated by Christ Jesus when he said, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
It is characteristic of Christian Scientists to be alert to an opportunity to serve the cause, and to lose no time in grasping it and turning it to account.

There is no more ringing call to the Christian warfare than that voiced by the apostle Paul, who knew whereof he spake when he exhorted: "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

THE RIGHT ANSWER

Students of Christian Science are often asked to explain its teachings as found in the Bible and Science and Health, or to give a reason for the apparent failure of some one to demonstrate these teachings, a task which calls for great patience as well as a clear understanding of the subject involved.

THE LARGER INDEPENDENCE

The life of a people should be found at its best on great historic days, and for the reason that they are commemorative of that truth which stands for eternal freedom, and that freedom which stands for eternal Truth.

"HE THAT SEEKETH FINDETH"

Christian Scientists have become such largely because they have had proved for them the availability of righteous prayer as the most efficient means of healing the sick, and from this starting-point they have progressed to a knowledge and understanding of God which they have found to be the only trustworthy guide for human action and endeavor.

THE GOVERNING PRINCIPLE

In wrestling with his picture puzzle, the youngster may readily recognize the specific thing portrayed on each of the many queer-shaped blocks, but he will certainly have difficulty in properly arranging them if he does not have a definite idea of the complete picture.

PROSPERITY

To most people prosperity means chiefly worldly success, and few there are who do not greatly desire it, even if they are not willing to labor for its attainment.
