In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

In a recent issue of the Star a critic expresses his agreement with my point that if the medical fraternity fails to save certain persons "in the incipiency of their troubles, they cannot reasonably complain because Christian Science fails to rescue them in the more advanced and formidable stage of their disease.
In a recent issue the writer of the "Finance of the Week" explains that the world is learning that financial panics are not to be cured by Christian Science.

A PURIFYING PROCESS

Several years ago, while living in a cabin in the heart of the Rocky mountains, the writer visited a miner who operated near by a gold mining and refining plant, and who kindly explained the various processes followed.

Christian Science teaches us to deny evil, whenever and wherever we see it; and when evil is met and overcome in each individual consciousness, the whole world will be benefited thereby.

Members of the Christian Science church in La Grande have the thanks of the Obscrver for an interesting volume on the life and work of the late Mary Baker Eddy.
If the committee of English physicians who reported in effect that all forms of mental and spiritual healing, in which they included Christian Science healing, were the result of mental suggestion, had really investigated the facts of the matter from the standpoint of the true investigator, they would have found:—
The reference to Christian Science as a fad does not indicate the nice discrimination in language which should proceed from one occupying the position of a Christian minister.
It should be remembered in considering or discussing the subject of Christian Science that it is essentially common sense and reasonable in its every application to human conditions.
