the trend of the false beliefs of materiality, Jesus cautioned his disciples not to be troubled when they heard of "wars and rumors of wars," for "these things must come to pass" until God's presence is everywhere recognized.
From the fact that Christian Science demonstrates the Master's mission, "On earth peace, good will toward men," it would be impossible for its teachings to "lessen in the slightest degree the love" Jesus expressed for mankind.
While we appreciate the very kindly attitude of the clergyman in his discourse on Christian Science as a "Contribution to Our Common Christianity," in which he acknowledged that Christian Science contains certain "great values which all of us need," yet the assertion in his second sercom on the "Philosophy of Christian Science" that "there is a mingling of light and darkness, of truth and error," is rebuked by Bible teaching.
