The world will try to get us to drop our spiritual altitude for a merely political opinion on one side or the other. But a true understanding of progress compels us to stay the spiritual course, allowing only spiritual observations and conclusions to take root in our thinking.
There’s a spiritual foundation empowering truthfulness, a quality that’s innate to God’s children, which includes all of us.

When we relinquish the human concept of our neighbor as ignorant, unreceptive, or uncaring, and of ourselves as some sort of savior, we go from willfully trying to correct some “uninformed” human being to allowing ourselves to be a transparency for the truth that divine Mind knows and is communicating. 
Jesus invited his followers to be conscious of our own and others’ true, wonderful, now being that is purely and completely good, free, and always accessible because it has its source in God.

Seeing the true view

When Shannon and Mommy started praying, they talked about how, just as Shannon didn’t need to change the silly reflection in the fun house mirror, this injury also wasn’t the true view of her.

When faced with any form of inharmony, we need to ask ourselves, Am I expecting harmony or suffering? Am I grounding my expectation in God’s spiritual laws or in what are believed to be physical laws?
I had been seeking spirituality for many years, and now I found the neighbor’s reference to spiritualizing thought so intriguing that I asked him about it, wanting to better understand what was involved. 
An incident at camp prompted this author to dig deeper into what real beauty is and looks like—and she was amazed by the results!
