Not what I appear to be
I’m not what I appear to be
but “unfallen, upright, pure, and free.”*
Forever perfect and complete,
in God I live with no defeat.
Never separate from all Love
that casts out fear and soars above
to where the heart knows only God,
I walk with Christ where he has trod.
And in that presence of pure Light,
there is no weakness, only might.
Lifted up above all strife,
in God, who is Truth, I find my Life.
—Robbin McCarter
