How and why ‘our prayer makes a difference’
It was a startling disunity. And there were only a handful of us on our college campus to begin with. What we had in common should have far outweighed what was now dividing us.
As an active Christian Science Organization, we were reviewing our bylaws and feeling a need to revise them. To us, they were ancient, written before we were born, so … about twenty years earlier.
But just what needed to change? That was where our consensus broke down and very strong opinions were voiced. As the weeks wore on, attitudes hardened. What had been a deep oasis of spiritual fellowship was evaporating before our eyes.
