More than a chance discovery
Thirty-seven years ago the doctors gave me no hope that I would survive. I was married with two small children.
I began a desperate search for God. I talked to priests, ministers, counselors. I attended their church services, but as I listened, an internal voice kept saying, “This isn’t it.” I kept praying to a God whom I knew not. This went on for months as I struggled physically to keep up with my family.
One afternoon, my husband and I went to a trunk show, where people sold collectibles. I remember being impelled to pick up this tattered little book that had a gold seal stamped on its cover. I noticed that it read, “Heal the Sick, Raise the Dead, Cleanse the Lepers, Cast out Demons.”
