Our prayers for the people in Japan
The students in the Sunday School in Palo Alto, California, were inspired to share their prayers for the Japanese people after the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Here are some of the ideas they prayed with:
“The Lord of hosts is with us.”
—Psalms 46:7
–E. G., 5th grade
I know that God is protecting the people in Japan, and the whole accident was not true in God’s kingdom.
–Ellie, 3rd grade
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
—Psalms 46:10
–Emma, 9th grade
Do not fear because God is with you.
Pray to God. He will protect you and all.
–Cindy, 6th grade
It is important to know that our prayers are effectively touching the individuals in Japan. Our prayers help them feel a sense of uplifting spiritual support, in addition to the aid being graciously outpoured by the children of God.
–Emma, 12th grade
God is always with you. God won’t let you down. God is in your heart.
–Emily, 2nd grade
You can have a happy heart because God can help you feel good. God loves you!
–Jasmine, Kindergarten
God is protecting you wherever you are.
–Becca, 1st grade
