Not taken seriously
Back several years ago, I was hired to work at a company. I was half the age of everyone there. I had the feeling others were thinking, “Oh, this person is really young.” And they wouldn't take me seriously. Whenever I made a suggestion, it was like “Oh, that’s very nice, we’ll take it into consideration.” And I would sit there and wait and wait. But my idea would never come up again.
If the manager would present the same idea I had, it would be well received, but the fact that I was young disqualified what I had to say. It was like I had to become older to be taken seriously. So that was a little frustrating.
Eventually, though, I started asking myself, “What is my true job description?” I realized that my real job was to express the qualities of God. And that by expressing them, I could never come into conflict with anyone. I'd be able to work in harmony with everyone.
