While acting in a musical production, in which I also had to play the piano, I rather forcefully slammed my hand into a misplaced chair on my first entrance. I realized as I sat down at the keyboard that something "serious" had happened—possibly a sprain or a broken bone.
Since there was no point when I could be offstage to pray, I had to pray right then and there, while I was performing. What a great opportunity! The first thoughts that I had, however, were ones of anger toward the stage manager, who had misplaced the chair, and I had to reject these thoughts as not having power. In God's government of the universe there is nothing out of place, and no evil or lazy mentality that can harm man. Nor can one of God's children be a "tool" to harm another. A feeling of love came over me toward this stage manager.
