I will always be grateful that my parents found Christian Science

I will always be grateful that my parents found Christian Science. This happened several years before I was born. My father came upon some Christian Science literature in a public distribution box and began to read and study it. He felt that what he was reading was the truth; he began attending a Christian Science church. My mother soon joined him in attending church and their four children were enrolled in the Sunday School.

I have many wonderful memories of loving teachers and of important lessons learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. I was convinced at a young age that Christian Science is the absolute truth of spiritual being, and I knew that it would always be a part of my life.

After finishing college, I joined a local branch church and The Mother Church. After marrying, I practiced Christian Science to the best of my ability in raising our four children. Although my husband was not a Christian Scientist, he was helpful in getting our children to Sunday School and tolerant of my efforts to rely on prayer for healing for myself and the children.
