Sure prospects
Paul declared that in God "we live, and move, and have our being." Acts 17:28. This powerful statement implies that man is not, as we too easily believe, a mortal at the mercy of changeable circumstances. On the contrary, true existence is motivated, directed, and maintained in its perfection by omnipotent Mind, by God's law of harmony.
"All that really exists" Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health, "is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal." Science and Health, p. 151. What better news could there be for someone wondering just how good his prospects in life really are? They couldn't be better.
As the distinct expression of Mind, man partakes fully of its immortality and total harmony. As this truth is established and then maintained in thought, we live more fearlessly, confident that no person or persons, no set of human circumstances, can interfere with our progress and well-being, based as they are, not on mutable, material events but on the absolute authority of spiritual law.
