Our family has experienced many healings through reliance on Christian Science, and it is with a humble heart of gratitude that I share this one.

In the spring, two years ago, my husband and I were on a business trip. Some five hundred miles away from home one Friday morning, we received a telephone call saying that our high-school-age daughter was seriously ill and that it would be advisable for one of us to return home. A Christian Science practitioner had been called for treatment, and the child was being cared for by loving relatives. Momentarily I found I was gripped with fear, and while my husband made arrangements for a flight home, I went away by myself to quiet my thought and to do some prayerful work for all concerned.

Not only was there the girl at home to think about, but our business trip involved our being responsible for more than two hundred persons for more than a week, and there was some question as to how the rather complicated daily schedules might be handled in my absence. Within moments the answer came in these words from Hymn No. 53 in the Christian Science Hymnal:
