Fifty-two Articles on Healing

Perhaps the most frequently asked question about Christian Science is, "How does it heal?" Basically, there is but one answer: Healing is the result of Truth overcoming error in human consciousness. When someone who understands Truth applies it, error yields, and healing takes place. It is simply a matter of Truth being all-powerful and error being powerless.

Christian Science identifies God, the All-in-all, as Truth. And it declares that man is the expression or reflection of Truth in all its qualities. Whatever does not reflect God presents a false view of the All-in-all. It is therefore untrue—error—no part of man.

This Science also uses the word "Truth" to signify the Christ, the spiritual idea of God, which destroys error. Christ Jesus' life, works, and teachings exemplified this spiritual idea. The spiritual idea of God is complete. It manifests all of God's qualities and, like light pouring into a dark room, it enables us here to see man as God created him—spiritual and perfect. Christian Science is the Science of Christ, Truth, which Science is at the same time the law by which misconceptions of Life and its manifestation man are corrected, the sinner reformed, and the sick healed.
