Upon
the joyous return of the seventy disciples whom Jesus had appointed to preach the gospel and heal the sick, they said to him, "Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
Many
thousands of people throughout the civilized world are ever ready to give grateful acknowledgment of the fact that, in the light of their own personal experience, Christian Science heals.
There
is perhaps no story in the Bible with which we are more familiar than that told in the third chapter of Daniel, wherein is related the experience of the three young Hebrews who refused to worship the golden image made by Nebuchadnezzar.
Some
time ago the writer heard a sermon preached on the necessity for restraining one's human sense of ardor, and this strain of thought, so unlike usual denominationalism, made a deep impression, although the reason why it did so was not apparent until it was seen in the light of Christian Science.
Come
out from among them, and be ye separate," was Paul's instruction to the people.
When
a man looks at a flower, a mountain, or at the cattle upon a thousand hills, and sees beauty, he may well think: How much more beautiful is the infinite spiritual idea which all these earthly things but counterfeit.

I wish to express through the Sentinel my sincere gratitude for benefits received from reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, after a great many years of ill health.
For some time I have wished to express gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through the study of Christian Science.
While I have been a student of Christian Science for several years, I have never before expressed my gratitude through the periodicals, a channel provided for the publication of testimonies by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; yet not a day passes but that I am grateful for the understanding gained from the study of the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
Christian Science came into my life at the time when it was most needed, and proved once again that "man's extremity is God's opportunity.
After a long period of unsatisfactory study of the various mental sciences, so called, and a vain search for health and strength, I began to study Christian Science seriously.
It is with sincere gratitude for the many blessings Christian Science has brought to me that I give this testimony.
When Christian Science was presented to me it was very hard for me to understand, but I found this religion to be just the thing I had been longing for.
Christian Science has meant so very much to me that I have reason indeed to be grateful for it.
