Green grass of gratitude, uplift my thought!Transform the dust heaps and the wintry earthOf loneliness, self-pity, hurt, and prideWith your compassionate growth and tender green,And I will water with repentant tearsAnd tend the shoots with love and kindliness;Reach deep into the warmth of kindling earthWith fingers quick to find the envious weeds,The clinging growths of fear and self-conceit.

Dry-shod they walk across the sandWhere late the Red Sea rolled,For Israel's tried and holy bandIs safe within the fold.

TRINITY

Fresh in its eternal springtide,Love that knows no turning pageGlows in pure creative beauty,Our supernal heritage.

LIKE to a bird On lifted wing, The inspired Word Soars, glorying,
