AMONG THE CHURCHES

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.

On Thanksgiving day, Nov. 24, Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, held its first service in the vestry of its new church building. The vestry, which will be our future Sunday School room, has a seating capacity of between five and six hundred. All the services of the church will be held here until such time as the large auditorium above is completed. The present plan is to begin the work on the superstructure as early in the spring as the weather permits.

The organization of Sixth Church took place two and a half years ago, to relieve the overcrowded condition of Second Church of this city. The services for the first six months were held in the hall of the Armory Building, and later in the hall of the Minneapolis School of Music, Oratory, and Dramatic Art, and as we entered into our permanent home on Thanksgiving morning, with hearts overflowing with joy and gratitude, we felt that God had indeed fulfilled the promise to David as recorded by the prophet Samuel, "Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more."—Correspondence.
