AMONG THE CHURCHES

The last money due on the building indebtedness having been paid in, First Church of Christ, Scientist, dedicated its church edifice April 18 with simple ceremony, the regular Sunday services being preceded by the reading of a history of the church. The corner-stone was laid in the fall of 1902 and the building was completed during 1903. The cost was approximately ten thousand dollars, including the site.—Correspondence.

The new First Church of Christ, Scientist, was filled at all of the services yesterday [May 30], on the occasion of the formal opening of the church edifice to the members and friends. A large number from out of the city were present to listen to the addresses and see the new edifice, it being estimated that there were at least two thousand people at the four services of Saturday and yesterday. Bliss Knapp of Boston lectured Saturday evening on the subject of Christian Science.
