How good a citizen is a "good sport"? Does a nation's or a people's attitude toward sports inﬂuence its moral ﬁber and attitudes?

The answers to these questions loom increasingly important today.

Because sports—with their influence for either good or bad—are enjoying probably their highest peak of popularity throughout the whole world. The bulk of the world's peoples are touched by them at some time—if not as players, then as spectators.
