An exchange of views on peace and war

At a time when earnest thinkers are asking, “Must the nations use force to oppose force?" the following correspondence between two readers of The Christian Science Monitor has come to our attention. We print it here because it deals helpfully with a subject on which each individual cherishes the right to determine his own position.

I wanted to answer the "Editorial Letter'' in the Monitor of May 16, but as one who disbelieves in making war, I began to wonder if there is any use discussing the question.
