In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

Meekness doesn't have to mean becoming a doormat. Jesus' meekness brought with it the unparalleled healing power of divine Spirit.

Who does the work?

Christ Jesus was humble enough to acknowledge that his ability to heal and to help others came directly from God.
If the famous unduly fascinate —or intimidate us—we're picking up on false signals. True worth has to do with spirituality, with the manhood and womanhood of God's creating.

Beginning our day with God

We can start our day in the same way that the Bible says creation began.

Healing through prayer

Spiritual love and spiritual healing go hand in hand. Both are the outcome of one universal God, who is divine Love.

Diversity and unity

"Was I the stranger or were they?" In responding to this question, the writer found she needed the fresh vision prayer brings.
It's natural to care deeply about community.

The peace of God is yours

Some "wars" go on between two people rather than between nations. But every hostility needs to be resolved through Christly love.

The church as a community

The Christian Science Church community is spread around the globe—spread thinly, as human organizations go, given its modest membership.

"Come and see"

When we find our home in God, divine Love, we also find the wholeness and freedom native to God's creation.
In the face of frustration, we can sometimes feel very lost. Turning to God, the one divine Principle, helps us get our bearings.

Second Thought

"'We need to get together to make things happen .... A community can't get together with only one person.'"
