Many names were considered for the new section of The Christian Science Monitor, and one of those proposed was "The Wide Horizon Section," which inadvertently was included in the notice in the Christian Science Sentinel of December 30.

Beginning January 3, 1934, The Christian Science Monitor will take another forward step in its progress as an international daily newspaper by adding a new feature in the form of a special section to be included with each Wednesday issue.
To insure that complete lecture notices be printed in the Sentinel, detailed information should reach the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department regarding lectures in the United States and Canada, at least four weeks before the date of the lecture; in Great Britain and Ireland, at least five weeks before; in other European countries, at least eight weeks before.
