A fresh perspective

I’m on a journey to find a clearer perspective on my practice of Christian Science. Journeys can open to us fresh and wider views, and I am grateful to be underway. Maybe you would like to come along!

What led me to start this journey? For years, I had not experienced much healing in my life but had just muddled along, hoping that the situation would change sometime. I realized that my practice of Christian Science had gone stale and that I wasn’t growing spiritually. I had often heard the saying “If you keep on doing what you’re doing, you will keep on getting what you’re getting.” This described my situation all too well. It became clear that I needed to make some changes. Christian Science doesn’t need to change, but my understanding and application of it should always be growing.

I want to give special credit to the many people who have nudged me on. I have had enlightening conversations with Christian Science practitioners. I have been blessed by ideas and experiences shared in the Christian Science magazines. And I am particularly grateful for the interviews in the Sentinel Watch podcast. I find the audio format especially helpful because I feel that these people are right here talking to me, sharing their insights and experiences. The fresh perspectives I have gotten from so many clear thinkers are the impetus for my journey and have provided many useful ideas to help me set a course and start exploring new concepts.
