Breathing freely again
I have studied and practiced Christian Science all my life and have had numerous healings. I would like to share one from April 2020. One morning I woke up unable to breathe. Each breath came in gasps. I immediately called a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer.
The first thought that came to me then was from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures
by Mary Baker Eddy: “Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle,—is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal”(p. 306). I also recalled this verse from the Bible: “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me” (Isaiah 45:5).
I clung tenaciously to those passages. Thinking deeply about them, I reasoned that God, unchanging divine Principle, was unfolding to me spiritual understanding, and that God’s laws are ever present and eternal. Soon, I began to really feel God’s presence, and I sensed that He was saying to me, “Don’t be afraid; I’m right here with you.”
