Healed of recurring eye condition

With Christian Science we can “never say never” to healing because there is always the possibility of healing, even if a problem has persisted for some time. So I share this testimony in the hope that it will help those who may be working very hard to not give up, who might be searching for courage to persist in seeing that the immediacy of God’s goodness is indeed the reality.

Over a period of more than ten years I had multiple painful, unsightly eye infections each year, which lasted a few weeks each time. I confirmed through a medical exam that this condition was not harmful to others, and was approved to work, but the pain and embarrassment continued.

From personal experience, and from reading others’ testimonies of Christian Science healing, I knew that I could be healed through Christian Science. In my prayers, I strove to see as God sees. When I look back on this now, I see that I was also learning about my spiritual identity—seeing myself as a spiritual idea, as God’s reflection, and thinking of this as my “eye-dentity.”
