Boldness and Christian discipleship
Some girlfriends and I decided to gather monthly to study the New Testament’s book of Acts. Our joint Bible study continued ten years, exploring additional books of the Bible, because we found it so helpful in deepening our understanding and love of the Scriptures.
I’ll never forget one afternoon when a friend, who had been a somewhat reluctant Bible student, rushed in and said, “I read ahead!” This was a breakthrough, showing her newfound love of the story of early Christianity and the church, which we all were learning was both riveting and applicable to us today.
We practice God-impelled boldness as we see and hold fast to spiritual truth.
