The true source of our thoughts
One morning I unexpectedly found myself reacting fearfully to every normal task that came my way. The fear seemed to overwhelm me, making it hard to think normally and calmly in order to make intelligent decisions. And I couldn’t seem to get control over it.
After a few minutes of this, I knew I had to pray about it. I prayed to affirm and know that God, who is divine Love, was the source of my every thought and was governing my thoughts right then and always. I saw that because Love was governing me, nothing could cause me to be fearful or confused.
I prayed briefly, until I felt the inspiration and peace of these truths. With that, the awful fears suddenly stopped. I wasn’t trying to control the fear—the fear just stopped. The thoughts I was thinking were now normal, and I was able to proceed with the rest of my day freely and happily.
