The May 13 Sentinel was certainly outstanding. Of special interest to me was the article “Sweep away the cobwebs” by Diane P. Dailey. Please express my deepest appreciation to her.
I’ve had difficulty forgetting the hurts of the past, and she addresses this problem with such clarity, especially where she states: “The past has no power to hurt us or to fool us into thinking we can’t experience joy, happiness, fulfillment, purpose—right this moment. No person, no circumstance, no condition can keep us from receiving all the good that God gives us now. And each of us can refuse to hold on to any mortal dream of what went on before.”
What has gone on before is only a “mortal dream,” not reality. This gives me something concrete to work with. I am so very grateful for this much needed inspiration.
