Allergies—when will they be over?

This Is ridiculous! I grew up with animals ... cats, dogs, ferrets, birds. I never had a problem all those years, so how can I be allergic to animals now?

But here I am, sitting on the bathroom floor barely able to breathe. We're doing a family member a favor by keeping their cat—for four months. I can't think, I can't focus. Every breath is a strain. It feels like I could pass out at any time. In fact, I would welcome that at this point ... just so I don't have to deal with it.

Flashback to college.
