Thanks for the beautiful poem, "City street crossing," by Suzanne Liebenrood in the May 27 Sentinel. The writer has not only brought vivid images to life, but done so in rhyme. In my opinion, it takes much more talent to do that than to merely "chop up" some prose as many pseudo-poets seem to do these days. Please print more rhymed poetry.

In the article "Sensationalism—news or blues," the author, Madora Kibbe, states: "The fact is, news that makes us feel helpless isn't news. It's propaganda" (June 17). Arbitrarily labeling a news item as propaganda because we personally feel helpless when confronted with it, is the way the world usually responds to unpleasant news.
