Injuries quickly healed
Several years ago, my husband and I were attending an Air Force reunion in Hot Springs, Arkansas. We were staying at a grand old hotel that stands elevated at the end of the main street. We found the steps up to the entrance long and tedious to climb.
One evening at a banquet of nearly 300, we were asked to go to these steps for a group picture. As I started down, my heel caught on the edge. I went flying and rolled downward. Finally I came to a stop.
My first thought was to get up. However, one of the women there immediately stooped down, and quietly stated that she was an emergency room nurse. She said I needed to stay still. Although I felt all right, I accommodated her by being quiet. She asked some questions to determine my well-being.
