A message from John's friend
I believed in God. It's hard to explain my faith in words. It's just something I've always had.
John offered me help when I was in trouble. He ended up coming over and talking to me, not about what was happening or how to deal with it, but about where I was in my relationship with God. I expressed to him my idea of faith and God. And he ended up telling me a lot about Christian Science.
I realized that if I was going to find God, I couldn't look to Him through other people, in an outward way, but I needed to look inward for God. This was pretty much the turning point—when I could start dealing with things, when I could find Love, God, through all the painful feelings. It was the love I felt then that helped me overcome the negative feelings and the fear at that time.
