Christians journeying together

Often, news reports about religion tend to emphasize the differences or the extremes—whether we're talking about Christians, Muslims, Jews, or other believers. But despite the apparent differences between people, the oneness of God, Truth, ultimately binds all religious thinkers together. Many thinkers have found this confirmed in reading the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, where its author, Mary Baker Eddy, writes: "One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself;' annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,—whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed" (p. 340).

Today there is a steady flow of Christian literature, music, and radio programs that share individuals' experiences of finding God's presence in their lives.

It's extremely heartening and exciting to be surrounded by this flood of Christian activity. Yet sometimes people are concerned that sharing in this spiritual awakening might distract them from reaching their own spiritual goals or even dilute their understanding of spiritual truth.
