Sometimes a spiritual healing is not as immediate as expected
Sometimes a spiritual healing is not as immediate as expected. It is both inspiring and reinforcing to read wonderful testimonies in the Christian Science magazines, yet one might assume that all healing comes readily. Some challenges are obviously more trying than others, but isn't it one's clarity of thought that finally makes way for divine Truth to be the victor?
A couple of years ago I discovered pink areas on the back of one of my hands. As time went by I noticed that the color became darker, and this blotchiness became disturbing. I have relied solely on Christian Science all my life and knew that this physical problem was in fact nothing more than an erroneous suggestion coming to thought, which had no substance or validity.
I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked for assistance in healing this condition. After several days there seemed to be no change. I thanked the practitioner and tried to pray for myself. As the rash became more unsightly, I prayed more diligently. This continued for over a year.
