Healing through recognizing God as man's Life

The understanding that Life is God, self-existent, self-sustaining, self-complete, can destroy the mortal belief that life is in matter and subject to birth and death. Mrs. Eddy writes, "Life is the everlasting I am, the Being who was and is and shall be, whom nothing can erase." ^{ Science and Health, p. 290;}

God is eternal Life. He created man in His own image and likeness. Therefore man is coexistent and coeternal with God, the embodiment of spiritual ideas, Life's expression, vital, complete, and whole. Claim your at-one-ment with Life as Life's immortal idea. Reject the belief that you were born into matter, that you are passing through material conditions, or that you live in physicality, subject to laws of heredity, sin, disease, and death. Man is not the product of a long line of human ancestors. Life does not perpetuate itself through a process of human generation. Christ Jesus said, "Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." ^{ Matt. 23:9.}

The understanding of these truths strengthens our trust in God and helps us to destroy diseases or deformities that are the result of the human belief in hereditary laws. Our true heritage is our sonship with God, eternal Life.
