All I have I owe to Christian Science

All I have I owe to Christian Science. In January, 1914, my mother passed on from cancer of the bowels. She had told one of my sisters that I should not be long in following her, for I was then suffering from the same trouble, and had been dismissed from a hospital as incurable. I could not be operated on, and the doctors all told me to be brave and patient. I am very grateful for the kindness of all the doctors.

I did not know it then, but I had a friend who longed to find me to tell me of Christian Science, and in June of 1914, I met her in our town. She invited me to her house, and told me that Christian Science is the truth about God and man's relationship to Him. I remember thinking, "This will show me how to die happy." I was afraid of death, and yet was so unhappy that I had no desire to live; but I found that I had to live to find God, and that what has to die is wrong thinking. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was healed.

Since then I have had many healings, physical, moral, and financial. I am deeply grateful to all the practitioners, who are ever ready to help when asked. No wonder that we all love our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer of this wonderful Science.— (Mrs..) Sarah C. Holt, Altrincham, Cheshire, England.
