In an article in a recent issue a kindly reference was made to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. In the second paragraph, however, an inaccurate description of the teachings of Christian Science is given, so that anyone reading it would conclude that Christian Science merely presents some phase or action of the human mind. This is not so. Mrs. Eddy discovered the law of God, good, through which our Master, Christ Jesus, and his disciples healed the sick and redeemed the sinner; and her discovery is not only revolutionizing the thought of the world, but presenting to mankind the full salvation promised by Christ Jesus.

In addition to other steps which Mrs. Eddy took to give her discovery to the world, she founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, which in her own words (Church Manual, p. 17) is designed to "reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing." This Church continues to grow, and now has branch churches and societies all over the world.

Today hundreds of thousands of people are studying the Bible in conjunction with the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and through the understanding they are gaining of God and of man's relationship to Him, numbers in all walks of life are being healed of disease and sin and raised from poverty and distress.
