A speaker before a group of phychiatrists was quoted in your issue of May 26 as saying that the psychiatry of today is "inflicted" with Christian Science. This statement gives a wrong impression of Christian Science, for this religion has no relation to psychiarty.

Christian Science is wholly spiritual in method and practice. It conforms exactly to the teachings of Christ Jesus, and heals mental, moral, and physical ills by the spiritual means he employed.

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (Pref., p. xi), Mary Baker Eddy says, "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus' time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation."
